!IMPORTANT IFT INFO!
It is important to understand that successful completion of the IFT should not be the sole indicator of potential success in the pipeline. Applicants should strive to exceed the IFT standards by a significant margin. For example, aspiring recruits for PJ/CCT/SR should not consider 25m underwaters at a 3-minute interval as an acceptable standard. Instead, they should aim to train for 1:30-minute underwater intervals prior to starting the course in order to greatly improve their chances of successfully completing the course.
It is crucial to complete the IFT with strict adherence to form standards. It is essential for applicants to ensure that the IFT instructions are followed precisely. Allowing for sloppy form on events in order to pass does not benefit you or the career field. During the entrance courses for Special Warfare, applicants will be assessed by instructors. Those who demonstrate imperfect form may be eliminated from the program.
